Markus R. Kempen
During his training in the financial sector in his homeland of Germany, Markus gained extensive skills in service, food and beverages, and event planning sectors. In 1988, he was hired by the largest international holiday resort company and worked in different positions from Restaurant Manager to Front Office Manager to Human Resources Manager in resorts in the Caribbean, Southeast Asia and Europe. After taking an internal management trainee program in 1995, Markus Kempen became the youngest manager of a resort company and has worked in Italy, Switzerland, Polynesia, Indonesia and Greece.
His leadership qualities and understanding of communications groomed him for his next position as Director of Operations for a private sector Turkish resort company. Later he became general manager for the largest German holiday resorts company and worked in Turkey, Spain, Egypt and Morocco. Eventually his international connections would lead him, after many years of working in resorts, becoming an independent consultant in the hotel industry.
Through his extensive contacts in Europe, Africa and Asia, which include lawyers, tax consultants and trade unions to government departments, and partner offices in Morocco and Abu Dhabi, he has at his disposal an excellent network that he makes available to his clients.
